METHANE

main-qimg-44cb4328c5e38c264302ffe66cf6ff

By adding a carbon atom to the hydrogen we obtain methane CH4.

The carbon contained in the CO2 that we can recover at their places of emissions: thermal power stations, cement factories and steelworks can be combined with the hydrogen produced by tidal turbines by electrolysis of water.

This operation facilitates the transport of renewable energy while decarbonizing energy-intensive sectors.

CO2 capture and storage: a strange situation.
